In a lighter vein: Arshad Warsi puts his paintings on sale to pay electricity bill
Many people in Mumbai received absurd electricity bills this month and something similar happed with Arshad Warsi, as he asked to pay Rs one lakh. Well, in order to pay off the amount, the actor has put his paintings on sale! Taking to Twitter, he joked that he would need to sell his kidneys next month.
In the tweet, Arshad said Rs1.03 lakh were debited from his account on July 5 for electricity. In a separate tweet, he shared a news article about his paintings, and made a plea to his followers. “People please buy my paintings, I need to pay my bill, kidneys I am keeping for the next bill!” wrote the actor.
Many other celebrities, including Taapsee Pannu, Huma Qureshi and Renuka Shahane, have tweeted about getting inflated electricity bills this month.
