one-of-its-kind initiative by Zee Live, India Shayari Project is all set to premiere on Zee5 this Independence Day. Along with Kausar Munir, Kumar Vishwas and Zakir Khan, Javed Akhtar will also be a part of the show. Javed Akhtar says, “India has been a country of many great poets. It is heartening to see that youngsters want to embrace and understand the beauty of the spoken word. Poetry gives you the space and platform to represent yourself in your most authentic way. It is always a pleasure to be a part of something as innovative as ‘shayari’, as that is my passion.I am elated to associate with India Shayari Project.”
The segment will see Javed Akhtar touch upon his journey in the world of poetry and the close-knit bond he shares with cinema, having been a part of the industry for decades. With him being one of the biggest names in poetry and song-writing, he shall also shed light on the changes that he’s seen in poets and their written word. The India Shayari Project will all be about celebrating poetry and freedom.
