In love and war, everything is fair! So, how far would you go for your love or revenge? As the romantic thriller, Ishq Mein Marjaawan, a journey of love and revenge, returns to TV screens from July 13, we ask the lead actors, Helly Shah, Vishal Vashishtha and Rrahul Sudhir, the same question on Zoom meeting.
Unable to answer, Rrahul, who is playing Vansh, says, “Right now, I am not in love, but would always remain on the good side. Unless put to test, I think it will be unfair to say otherwise.”
After the success of its first instalment, the makers are ready to release the sequel with a fresh storyline and characters. Nia Sharma, Arjun Bijlani and Alisha won over the audiences in the first instalment. In the second season of Ishq Mein Marjaawan, apart from Helly, Vishal and Rrahul, Madhurima Tulli and Garima Rathore will also be seen in pivotal roles.
Happy to be back
Says Helly Shah, “Even though everyone’s face was covered with masks, I was happy to meet my co-stars after three months of separation.” Helly’s character Riddhima is a 24-year-old orphan trying to find her footing in Mumbai. Having craved for a sense of belonging all her life, love is important for her. She is caught between two guys, Kabir and Vansh, played by Vishal and Rrahul, respectively, who are at loggerheads. “Caught in the web of lies, love and revenge, it will be exciting to see how the mystery unfolds for Riddhima,” she adds.
Gala time in Goa
All of them had enjoyed the shoot, which happened just before the lockdown, in Goa and also on a cruise! Helly admits to have suffered from motion sickness, but at the same time was excited to be on a cruise for the first time. Helly says, “While the shoot was on, all of us were tempted to join a party that was going on the other side and dance our hearts out.”
Vishal, who portrays the character of Kabir, Riddhima’s love interest, is looking forward to the stunt scenes filmed in Goa. He says, “I’m looking forward to the action-packed high-octane drama.” About his role, he adds, “My character, Kabir, has a duty towards his country and also loves Riddhima deeply. I play a top cop, who is on the lookout for Vansh and becomes the bane of Riddhima’s existence.”
