Celeb you enjoyed working for…
I enjoy working with everyone and I cannot name one when everyone in the industry is good to me.
Who can rock any look?
Sonam Bajwa. In Punjabi film industry, I believe she can pull off any look.
Who do you follow for latest trends and updates in beauty and makeup?
I follow Makeup By Mario, who is the makeup artist of Kim Kardashian.
For a layperson, what do you recommend?
Blush, Mac lipstick (lipshade Mehr), kajal, eyeliner and a spoolie for your eyebrows.
Five products in your list that can change one’s look instantly?
Blush, kajal, nude lipstick, concealer and moisturiser.
Any interesting story from the sets?
There’s one when I was eating panipuri with Sonam Bajwa and Amy Virk walked in from behind and I got scared. My reaction was caught on camera and even made it to some Punjabi trolls on Instagram.
A mistake that one should avoid?
Your makeup brushes should be very clean and hygienic. It should be dust free.
A makeup tip everyone must follow?
Wear kajal inside your upper lash line. It changes your entire look.
Being from Kolkata originally, what made you stay in Punjab?
One thing that I love the most is that people here accept me for who I am, my work, talent, opinion and thoughts. They accept my experimental looks that I often post on my page. Also, Punjab is so green and pretty.
What do you miss about Kolkata?
Narrow lanes and old buildings, that vintage architecture. Also, food that’s the soul of Kolkata. From puchka (paanipuri) to Bengali anda to aloo-wala chicken biryani, I miss it all.
What’s next?
In Kolkata, I was a stylist and never thought I would be a makeup artist one day but it turned out great for me in Punjab. I never planned anything. I just went with the flow. I would love to work in Mumbai someday but at the same time I am content with what I am doing. Punjab received me with open arms.
A celeb you wish to style?
I would love to show my talent on a model like Kendall Jenner.
What is the weirdest request that you have got till now?
There are so many weird requests on a day to day basis. I would rather avoid talking about those.
