Jaya Prakash Reddy passes away

Popular South actor Jaya Prakash Reddy passed away on Tuesday. He was 74 and suffered a cardiac arrest at his residence in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh. The veteran actor was known was his roles in movies such as Kick, Ready, Kabaddi Kabbadi, Samarasimha Reddy, among others. Initially, the actor gained popularity for villainous roles, and later in his career, he appeared in several comic roles. He was last seen in Mahesh Babu-starrer Sarileru Neekevvaru, which released in January 2020.

Several celebrities took to their social media to mourn the demise of Jaya Prakash Reddy. Mahesh Babu wrote, “Saddened by the passing of #JayaPrakashReddygaru. One of TFI’s finest actor-comedians. Will always cherish the experience of working with him. Heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones.

Baahubalidirector SS Rajamouli tweeted, “Shocked & saddened to know about the sudden demise of #JayaPrakashReddygaru.”
