Kapil Sharma to go on paternity leave

The Kapil Sharma Show on Sony TV will be going off air by February end. However, it will be a short break. The show will undergo a few creative changes and will be back in a revamped avatar soon. The actors and creative team have been considering some changes to the show for a long time. They had a discussion with the channel recently and decided to take a break after they finish the line-up by February end. With no audience currently on the set, the team felt that they needed to include a few new elements to add more fun.

This break will also serve as Kapil Sharma’s paternity leave, as his wife Ginni is pregnant with their second child. Says a source, “Kapil Sharma’s wife Ginni Chatrath is pregnant and their second baby is due next month. Kapil decided to take the break now, so that he could spend time with his family and the newborn.”

Meanwhile, Kapil had recently made an announcement about his collaboration with Netflix.
