After the massive success of Kalki 2898 AD, the makers have now teamed up with ZEE Studios to present Champion — a stirring period sports drama helmed by National Award-winning filmmaker Pradeep Advaitham. Produced by Swapna Cinemas (a division of Vyjayanthi Movies) in association with Anandi Art Creations and Concept Films, this ambitious venture stars Roshann in the lead, with Anaswara Rajan as the female lead.

The film follows his triumphs, struggles and unyielding spirit as he battles societal barriers and personal odds in his pursuit of glory — both on and off the field.

The teaser, which dropped on Friday to an overwhelming response, has already set expectations sky-high. Roshann captivates as Michael, showcasing a remarkable transformation marked by intensity and emotional depth. Anaswara Rajan brings balance and warmth to the narrative, Together, they promise a story that is as heartfelt as it is powerful.

Visually, Champion stands out for its meticulous recreation of a bygone era. Art Director Thota Tharani breathes life into the 1940s setting, while cinematographer R. Madhie captures it with striking authenticity. The narrative’s pulse is powered by GV Prakash’s evocative score, which seamlessly blends the film’s tapestry of sport, romance, patriotism, and action.

Champion hits theatres on December 25, 2025, promising audiences an unforgettable Christmas spectacle.
