A session on the philosophy of life comes as an enriching experience for many in Ludhiana

Let’s change, let’s empower ourselves

Over 200 persons, majority of them comprising women from Ludhiana, got an opportunity to listen to Sister BK Shivani through a Zoom meeting. The talk centred on how to lead a meaningful life.

Mannat Kothari, chairperson, FICCI FLO Ludhiana, said that the session was quite relatable. “This pandemic has changed our lives. We have become more inquisitive, full of anxiety, and at times, depressed. But we need to be emotionally strong and we have to send these waves to the universe that we are hale and hearty and happy, and surely we will come out of it. All over the world, the situation is the same, then why this fear? After listening to Sister Shivani, I think I need to give my mind the peace it deserves. Reading disturbing emails and messages on social media first thing in the morning is certainly not a good idea. We need to thank God for giving us this wonderful life,” says Kothari.

Divya Dhanda, who runs an event management company, says one has to follow few constructive tips to be happy in life. These are— take care of your mind, empower yourself, accept unpredictable behaviour, take responsibility of your own thoughts, and embrace changes.

The talk emphasised on the need of being emotionally strong. As Shikha Kapila shares, “Our thoughts create our own destiny. We need to invest in good karma.
