After a break of two years, Ratan Rajput is back on television
How does it feel to be back?
It feels great to be back. It is the love of the audience that has brought me back on the silver screen again. I am happy to be back at work with Rashmi Sharma Telefilms and Gracy Singh. I am excited about the role and looking forward to my audience’s reaction.
How did you utilise this break time?
Although I had a lot of projects in hand, I decided to take a break for personal reasons. During this period, I spent a lot of time with my family. I took this break to emerge from the sorrow of losing my father. Now that I am back, I am doing what I love the most— acting.
Tell us about your role in the show.
In the previous season of the show, I portrayed the role of an ardent bhakt wherein in the current season I will be depicting the character of Santoshi, who will be both a Devi and a human. She will come down to help Swati and bring justice to her by punishing those responsible for her debacle.
How are the safety procedures on the sets?
With the on-going situation, shooting experience has completely changed. There are a few challenges, especially with make-up and other things required on the sets. However, the production house is undertaking top-notch measures to ensure our safety.
How are you keeping yourself fit during this tough phase of life?
Keeping myself fit is a priority for me and I do a lot of hard work. These days I try my best to eat healthy and work out daily. I do not eat oily food or sugar.
What prompts you to take up a role?
A script should be so beautiful that you want to be a part of it. For me, good script is my first preference.
