Amer Fort: Jodhaa Akbar & Khoobsurat

Ashutosh Gowarikar’s iconic period drama, Jodhaa Akbar showcases beautiful scenes shot in and around the famous Amer Fort of Jaipur. Even in the movie Khoobsurat, when Sonam Kapoor visits Maharaja of ‘Surajgarh Palace’ with the handsome prince Fawad Khan, they used Amer fort as the setting.

Chapora Fort: Dil Chahta Hai

Chapora Fort in Goa is in fact known as Dil Chahta Hai fort after the movie became a huge success. It is one of the hot tourist destinations in Goa. The widespread open area of the fort leads to a beach protected by rocky promontories. It provides an excellent natural access to the sea.

Chomu Palace: Bhool Bhulaiya & Bol Bachchan

Akshay Kumar-starrer Bhool Bhulaiya was shot at Rajasthan’s Chomu Fort. The fort was built by Karan Singh in 1668 and is now used as heritage hotel. It is one of the exotic locations in Rajasthan for Bollywood films. It gave a hauntingly beautiful setting for Bhool Bhulaiya. Also, Abhishek Bachchan and Ajay Devgn’s Bol Bachchan was shot at Chomu Palace.

Taj Mahal: Tevar

For one of the sequences in the movie Tevar, Arjun Kapoor shot at the Taj Mahal in Agra. The actor was seen doing Shah Rukh Khan’s signature move by spreading his arms in front of the Taj. Directed by Amit Sharma, Tevar was produced by Arjun’s father Boney Kapoor.

Humayun’s Tomb: Kurbaan

The Humayun’s tomb in Delhi was the setting for the romance of Saif Ali Khan and Kareeena Kapoor Khan in the movie Kurbaan. The song Shukran Allah from the film was shot at this tomb.
