I feel this is the right show. I was looking for something of that stature to debut in the entertainment world. In my heart I knew,it had to be music. And the moment I was approached for Jammin, I said yes.

My hosting is very personal, I would say it’s driven more on passion and energy. I can’t plan, it’s all extempore- straight from my heart.

Don’t copy anyone and dare to follow your heart. Just remember one thing there is a difference between being different and being stupid.

From your radio shows, which one you like the most?

My radio show ‘Purani Jeans, AnmolkeSaath’ was the one that got back the trend of retro music. It was the first night shows in India to beat the morning shows. Something which changes the industry is always special.

During this extreme situation where live concerts are not happening how much do you miss hosting them?

It’s my firm belief that every problem comes with an opportunity. As soon as the lockdown was announced, I started my digital series Reunion with RJ Anmol, where I got the star cast of popular TV shows and films on a Zoom Video call. In a month, we were getting millions of views and the same show is being booked by corporates now. But yes, live shows have been hit and will take time before they are back.

Would you like to follow your father’s way of parenting?

He taught us how to follow the heart and I want to replicate that.

How do you unwind?

I play the saxophone.
