oronavirus has changed the fabric of our life. As most of us spend maximum time locked inside, this International Yoga Day, let’s take a cue from Bollywood celebrities, who have been inspiring people to make yoga a part of daily life. Be it through Zoom calls, new apps or collaborating with health and fitness platforms such as Cure.fit.
Nora Fatehi, Mandira Bedi, Mouni Roy are among the celebrities who conducted sessions on Cure.fit. Be it power yoga, Vinyasa style, Surya Namaskar challenge, we’ve seen our favourite celebrities find ways to rev up even in such a slowdown time.
When we talk of yoga, we cannot miss Shilpa Shetty. Even during this lockdown, she made sure to share her workout videos on Instagram. This fitness icon also launched a yoga programme on her app for people above the age of 50. This is other than her 21-day weight loss programme in March that was offered to people free of cost as part of government’s flagship fitness movement.
Malaika Arora also gave free online classes to help people stay calm during the tough phase. She launched community online workouts to promote yoga for physical and emotional fitness. Mandira Bedi, apart from the sessions on Cure.fit, shared her yoga workout routines on her Instagram account. You can see her doing handstand and headstand and wish to reach that stage in flexibility! Although she does all the poses for her fab body, for the mind, “I do a few minutes of inverted poses every day to keep anxiety at bay. There are so many to choose from,” she says.
Jacqueline Fernandez, Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone, Kareen Kapoor Khan, all these actors swear by yoga.
