I am playing a character with grey shades for the first time. The show is about inner beauty, but my character thinks completely the opposite. For Soni Mehra, a girl’s beauty means fair skin.

Do you miss shooting?

Well, we had wrapped up the shoot, but yes, everyone misses the hustle and bustle of the sets. We all used to have a great time shooting. However, now it is really important for all of us to stay indoors and stay safe. This is really a very crucial phase for our country.

How was your experience shooting in Amritsar?

I am a Punjabi and shooting in Amritsar was enjoyable. Shooting in the Golden Temple was mesmerising and one of the most memorable moments in my life. I also enjoyed the food and took out time to indulge in some shopping.

So you are back in Delhi to stay with your family…

In such tough times, it is better to be at home with your near and dear ones.

Punjabis are rocking the industry. Would there be a big role for Punjabiyat in it?

Yes, in Bollywood and Tellywood Punjabis rock. I can see a big role for Punjabiyat in the coming days.

Tell us about your morning schedule…

I am starting my day with a dose of positivity by listening to kirtan played on TV channels.

What are you missing the most?

We all are missing our friends and dear ones amid this coronavirus lockdown and while we are trying to find the motivation to cope with the boredom, we are so badly missing our favourite shows.

Are you enjoying your family time?

I am enjoying every minute of it! With a crazy work schedule, I hardly got a chance to spend time with them earlier.

The lockdown has been extended. What is the message for your fans?

I would like to tell my fans to stay at home. Stay safe everyone!

How are you keeping yourself fit?

I am eating healthy and I am doing yoga. Also I walk 10,000 steps on my terrace everyday.
