Painful Pride, a short film that stars Pallavi Joshi and Rituraj Singh in the lead roles, deals with the issue of menopause, which is still a taboo in the society. While several celebrities are promoting the campaign #ItsJustaPeriod on social media, the director, Maansi, manages to start a conversation about it. Maansi says, “I believe menopause is a lesser-talked issue and that’s where the idea to make a short film came from. I wonder why people still find menopause a taboo, but are comfortable to talk about periods.”

She adds, “Through Painful Pride, along with my social media team, I have been running several kinds of campaigns that will help in raising awareness about the issue.”
