Poulami Das is loving her role in Dulhaniya Beediwali

Poulami Das, who plays the role of Champa in ALTT'S Dulhaniya Beediwali, says she loves her new role. “Well, I’ve never played a character of a ghost, so it is something new for me but I always wanted to do such a character. Secondly, I’ve done so many shows with ALTT previously. So, I am very close to the team, so when they asked me, I couldn’t just say no,” she says.

The show has a mix of mystery and supernatural elements, she adds, “The way they shoot such scenes is extremely different from how we genuinely shoot. So it was very exciting.”As to how she prepared for the role, she says, “I was very excited for this role. I didn’t do anything exceptional as far as preparation goes, but it was more like I knew what I was supposed to do.”

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
