While practising basic hygiene is a necessity, it is also important to support your immune system to function properly. Here is a potent salad recipe that you must include in your diet to boost your immune system and protect your body.

Whole wheat salad

Ingredients

  • 4 servings
  • 1 cup whole wheat
  • 1/4 cup frozen sweetcorn
  • 1/2 cup peanuts
  • 3 cherry tomatoes
  • 1/2cup bell pepper cut in cubes
  • 1/4 broccoli

For dressing

  • 1.5 tablespoon virgin olive oil
  • 2 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoon red wine vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 pinch salt
  • For garnishing
  • 1 handful coriander leaves

Method

  • Soak the whole wheat with enough water in a deep bowl overnight. Drain well and keep aside.
  • Boil the whole wheat till it is completely cooked.
  • In the meantime, make the dressing with olive oil, lemon juice, red wine vinegar, paprika and salt.
  • Now, combine the cooked wheat, sweet corn, cherry tomatoes and peanuts with the dressing in a deep bowl and mix well.
  • Garnish it with coriander leaves and serve immediately.
