Punjab Lalit Kala Akademi to give National Travel Grant 2019-20 to 15 young artistsAre you up to it?
To generate understanding of contemporary art practice among students, Punjab Lalit Kala Akademi will provide travel grant to students of visual art and visual art history, who are currently enrolled in BFA/MFA/BA with fine arts, MA with fine arts and M Phil in fine arts in any college, art institution and university of Punjab, to travel and witness the creatively charged environment and ambience of mega art events organised in various parts of the country such as Serendipity Arts Festival, Goa, and India Art Fair, New Delhi.
The scholarship includes return travel from the student’s place of study to the venue of Serendipity Arts Festival, Goa or India Art Fair, New Delhi, a modest room for stay on twin sharing basis or dormitory depending upon the availability, daily allowance for food and beverages.
It also includes an orientation programme for the selected applicants at the premises of Punjab Lalit Kala Akademi, few days before the students depart for the specified art venue.
There is a fixed limit of Rs 12,000 for Serendipity Arts Festival and Rs 4,000, which includes travel, stay, food and local expenses, shall be paid by the Akademi.
Applicant’s age on 16.11.2019 should be between 18 to 30 years.
