Punjabi singer Jasmeet Jay releases single Dil Ni LagnaA track to pep you up

Does the band Joshilay ring a bell? Well, Julius Packium, Amandeep Singh Jolly and Jasmeet Jay, who formed the three-member band, were not just energetic but their songs left us with that nostalgic feeling of the 90s. Jasmeet Jay, the man behind the formation of this trio, has recently released his new single called Dil Ni Lagna.

The song was recorded and shot during the pandemic. He says, “I had recorded this song around 10 months ago and wanted to shoot it with a good concept. But due to the pandemic, the earliest we could shoot this song was in the month of October. The shooting took place in Dubai.”

About the song, he adds, “This is a peppy romantic number. I am happy that people are enjoying the song. They are sending such wonderful messages to me.” The song also features an actor and model from Dubai named Janvi.

Jasmeet started his music career with jingles and then went on to form Joshilay along with Julius Packium and Amandeep Singh Jolly. Their song Chadke Na Ja, which was directed by noted film director Kabir Khan, had become an instant hit with the youth. Later followed the song Muniya Re Munniya, which was based on a Hindi folk song.

Speaking about life of a singer and performer post- Covid 19, Jasmeet says, “It is a tough time for the all the music and live performers. Though events and shows have slowly begun, it will take a long time for things to get back to normal. And with the detection of the new strain of Coronavirus, things have once again started to fall apart. I sincerely hope that 2021 brings more joy and less quarantine days with the promise of vaccine for everyone.”
