Colors’ mythological magnum opus Shiv Shakti—Tap Tyag Tandav is set to take an intense turn with the arrival of Swarth, a powerful asur whose birth marks the advent of a new yug, the Treta Yug. The emergence of Swarth—the embodiment of self-interest—poses a grave threat to the world, compelling Mahadev to intervene and protect humanity. In response, Shiv erects Jyotirlingas as a divine refuge, ensuring that his devotees can continue on their spiritual path despite the growing influence of Swarth. Stepping into this pivotal role is actor and professional wrestler Saurav Gurjar, known for his commanding presence in mythological narratives.

Saurav shares, “I’m thrilled to be part of this show! It feels amazing to return to the channel after so many years. In Shiv Shakti, I play Swarth—a powerful character with shades of self-interest, something we all experience in real life. It’s an intense role, and I’m honoured to bring it to life. Returning to acting after years as an athlete is a big challenge, but I embrace it wholeheartedly. The sets of Shiv Shakti are spectacular, the costumes and jewellery are stunning, and the drama is very compelling—I’m enjoying every moment of it.”
