Shaan preps to host the silver jubilee of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa
Zee TV will celebrate the 25th year of its music reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa with a concert, titled Ek Desh Ek Raag, on May 24 at 7 pm. The show will be hosted by singer Shaan, who has been a host of the musical franchise several times. Shaan shared a few interesting anecdotes from 2002. He mentioned how he used to recite his lines in his sleep, scaring his wife in the process. When there were no tele-prompters or one-ear mics, Shaan used to memorise all his lines.
The singer says, “I used to wake up from sleep at times and say ‘Welcome everybody to Sa Re Ga Ma Pa and my wife used to think I had gone mad. But those were the days. I don’t know if I was the best host or not, but back in the day, things weren’t as easy and I put in a considerable amount of effort to ensure I did my best.”
