We don’t know what Karishma Tanna did right to become the winner of popular stunt show, Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi Season 10, but it was a much needed victory for the audience as well as for her. Having contested in more than half a dozen reality shows, including Bogg Boss, Nach Baliye and Jhalak Dikhla Jaa, it was time to convert that runner-up experience into a big win.

So, which reality show is next on her list? The actress- model-host Karishma says, “I think I sealed it with a win which makes for a good climax. It’s best to part ways with reality shows now and move on to the next leg of my career. At the same time, I am really excited and happy to lift the trophy. It’s a blessing actually, even God was like, ‘le beta trophy for being persistent’. Now, I am looking forward to work in web series and also collaborate with the right people in the film industry in India or internationally.”

Tanna had no fear as far as the stunts were concerned. She adds, “I had no fear of heights, water or insects, for which the show is known for. As an artiste and an actor, I was only worried how I was performing.”

For the women who aspire to become the next winner, she advises to stay positive and focused on the tasks. There was one task that Karishma performed with Tejasswi Prakash, where she had to go under water in a pool and then do heavy lifting; remembering it still makes her shudder.

Talking about the competition, Karishma adds, “Dharmesh Yelande, Tejasswi and Karan Patel were great. They gave me tough competition. It has only made my victory sweeter because the audience also knew what I was up against.”

Karishma had to wait as the show was shot before the lockdown and some of the episodes were only edited after the unlock was announced. She adds, “The lockdown gave me ample of time to spend with my pet Koko and my mother. It was a treat after the tough days of shoots in Bulgaria for Fear Factor…” —TNS
