What made you choose this project?

I chose Shringarika because the story is truly unique and interesting. It revolves around Shringarika, a king and his 65 queens, which is such a fresh and entertaining concept. Unlike my past projects, this one blends comedy, drama, and historical elements in a very engaging way. The script instantly caught my attention, and I knew it would be a fun challenge to be a part of it.

Can you share a little bit about your character in Shringarika?

I play one of the queens, and my character has a speech impairment, which makes her even funnier and more endearing. She is a very positive and lighthearted person, always bringing a cheerful energy to the scenes. What makes her special to me is how unique she is—I haven’t played a character like this before and it allowed me to explore comedy in a new way.

How was your experience working with Vishal Kotian and Aakansha Puri on this show?

It was an amazing experience. Vishal Kotian is full of energy and always keeps the set lively, while Aakansha Puri is so graceful and professional. Both of them were really supportive, and we had a great time shooting together. The entire team had great chemistry, which made the process even more enjoyable.

What was the most challenging part of playing your role?

The most challenging part was speaking shudh Hindi and also stammering. It required a lot of practice to get the comic timing right without making it look overdone. Sometimes, my dialogues were already funny, and with my character’s speech style, they became even funnier—so much so that the whole set would burst into laughter. There were times when I couldn’t control my laughter while delivering certain lines.

What kind of feedback have you been receiving from the audience for Shringarika?

The response has been really positive! People are loving the humour and finding my character very entertaining. Many have reached out to say that my role adds a unique charm to the series, which makes me really happy. Seeing the audience enjoy and appreciate my work is the best feeling.
