Slow, steady & meticulous

Actor Manik Singh Anand listened to his heart when he left Amritsar for the City of Dreams. Manik found himself at the crossroads after graduating from Delhi University; whether to follow his father in the legal profession or follow his heart and try his luck in Mumbai.

He took no shortcuts. Soon after the completion of his course from Actor Prepares with distinction, he landed a TV show, Khwaabon Ki Zamin Par on Zindagi channel. As he was also interestedin singing, he enrolled himself in Suresh Wadekar’s Ajivasan Music Academy to learn classical music. His works include plays like The Virtuous Burgler, Abhi Na Jao Chod Kar and Noor, and a short film The Second Home, which got three million hits.

Manik later joined The Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute, New York. He came back after the lockdown was announced in New York and is currently spending time with his parents in Amritsar. His latest project, aweb series titled Udan Paotla, unfortunately got stalled due to the current pandemic.

What do you think is your swag?

That would definitely be my adaptive nature to any culture or trend I am exposed to. I believe in the saying —When in Rome do as the Romans.
