Small acts of love
It is tough to handle kids, but even tougher in these times. Here is what celebs are doing to keep their tiny-tots busy

Parenting is hard; something that has been established without doubt in these times of lockdown. But then taking the challenge head on, here are some celeb parents who have handled their kids well and even set examples.
Building forts
Hours and hours in one’s make-believe world, ‘forting’ remains a success with kids. Designer-author Lauren Conrad came up with it for her toddlers, “Self-isolation with tiny people is no joke. Only a few days in and we are quickly running out of activities. Today we challenged some friends to a fort-building contest,” she posted along with a picture white, serene ‘fort’ all decked up with fairy lights.
On the dance floor
Australian cricketer David Warner loves to be a hands-on dad to his three children — Ivy Mae, Indi Rae and Isla Rose. From boxing to shaking a leg, he has some brilliant ideas for keeping kids engaged in an entertaining manner. We vote his shake and ‘twirk’ on Sheila Ki Jawani song as a winner. Bollywood songs have a huge reach for sure!
Colour of life
Just like his cinematic world, Karan Johar’s domestic life too seems to have a burst of colours. Hashtag #lockdownwiththejohars is recommended highly just for laughs. His twins — Yash and Ruhi — love to colour their picture books. Saif- Kareena’s precious young Taimur has now graduated to painting the wall and been happy potting some plants.
Do or dye
“How do I keep my child occupied… is the million dollar question playing on every parent’s mind right now,” says Shilpa Shetty Kundra, who is taking the simple colouring to another level while engaging her son Viaan in some tie and dye art. “This ‘unplanned’ break has to be endured, since it can’t be cured. We try planning a few hours of interesting activities in a day for our kids, but what do you do when you hear, “Mommy, I’m bored!!” and you don’t want to give them the iPad! Take it from me, tearing your hair out isn’t going to help as much as you’d think it would. You have to put on your thinking cap while aiming to make the most of this time together. So, you invent, innovate, and come up with something as it’s a DO OR “DYE” situation… that’ll keep them busy and you happy. Today’s bonding session with Viaan happened with some tie-&-dye activity at home with a special appearance by Simba! (Who nearly got her tail dyed).” She highly recommends this ‘fun’ activity, while sharing a video in which both mum and son don t-shirts made during one of their previous sessions.
Make them run
Indulge your kids in some yoga, some HIIT… is what celebs have shown. If nothing fancy, a run inside the home can prove to be one happy, healthy workout. Shikhar Dhawan with son Zoravar Dhawan gave a peep of their in-house running session on Instagram lately.
Keep it simple
Sketch, play, eat, write and take pleasure in simple things, believes Sushmita Sen, who’ happy being quarantined with her partner Rohman Shawl and daughters — Renee Sen and Alisah. While Renee is kept busy penning her first script, the little one is open to all the fun that one can have while being locked up home. “Be in love with life, everything else would work itself out,” says the former Miss Universe!
If nothing works, learn from the best — Kim Kardashian West… hide in the bathroom, till you can breathe again and have figured out ways to keep your kids engaged!
