In all the gloom surrounding us, his words became the reason for hope. Phir Muskurayega India writer Kaushal Kishore says the song came from the will to help, make a difference. “When the lockdown was imposed, singer-composer Vishal Mishra and I were together in a studio, wrapping up some work. After we saw how dreadful the situation was, we wanted to be of use to the nation. Doctors, policemen, paramedics, journalists, everyone was putting their skills together to help. In my case, my strength is my words and I made use of them to be among the warriors of Covid-19.”
All will be well
The music video features actors, including Akshay Kumar, Ayushmann Khurrana, Tiger Shroff, Kriti Sanon, Bhumi Pednekar, among others, who self-shot the clips as they conveyed the message of hope — that all will get back to normal soon. So, in Kaushal’s words, there was intent and content.
Since the lockdown, Kaushal has written five songs and they are all trending. After Phir Muskurayega India, challenges for the Covid-19 warriors have grown, so he came out with another song titled Jita Rahe Mera India. Both of which he wrote for free! “This was not for earning, but for spreading a message. A lot of people appreciated my song, they said it gave them the strength to face adversities but there were many who asked how India would smile again? I’ve tried to answer their questions in Jita Rahe.”
