Standing tall & how
Rhythm Singh Randhawa has tried her hand at many things and finally found her true calling in front of the camera. It all began with participating and winning Miss Punjab in 2017. She followed it up with becoming Shining Star at fbb Colors Femina Miss India and Miss Tourism International 2019.
These helped her nurture the passion to be on stage and recognise her strengths and weaknesses. Being 6-feet-tall was an added advantage and offers from many modelling agencies poured in. She has walked for brands like Marks & Spencer, Raj Kumar, Max Fashion, Top Model (UK), Omar (Pakistani designer) and also represented India at international stages, including London, Malaysia and Canada. After a stint in a music video, Rhythm now aims to act in films. On social front, this girl of 24 runs an NGO for the betterment of farmers and is studying human rights.
The first assignment
After winning Miss Punjab 2017, I walked for Aakriti Couture. It was a wedding shoot.
Most interesting shoot…
The beauty shoot for Femina Miss India. It gave me a chance to work with one of the best team of makeup artists, designers and photographers like Rahul Datta and Montu Tomar.
My designer would be…
Without a doubt Sabyasachi. The elegance with royal charm is totally my taste.
If not modelling, then…
A professional painter or an interior designer. Fine arts is next to facing the camera for me.
Current favourite style…
Cowl neck silk dresses with ankle-strap heels. A designer clutch bag would add an edge to the look.
Your favourite model/actress…
Audrey Hepburn. She is a lovely human being and a true actress.
A style tip for youngsters…
Experiment. Find your own unique yet classic way of styling in different trends. Choose quality over quantity for long sustainable fashion.
Your daily routine looks like…
Things that are essential to my day include journaling, exercise, studying human rights, reading and before sleep skin care regime. Every other day, I also go to my NGO office.
Health quotient…
For my health, I exercise regularly. It’s either at gym, doing yoga or running. I eat healthy and my diet includes high proteins veggie, protein shakes after gym, healthy fats likes almonds, oats, nuts, berries, and a lot of water. I focus on mindfulness through recreational activities.
To a formal dinner you’ll wear…
A neutral colour evening gown.
An outfit for a romantic date would be…
Black cowl-neck bodycon with ankle-strap heels.
Must-haves in your wardrobe…
A classic pair of denims and white shirt. A nude heel and a beige/black designer side bag to go with all outfits.
You aspire to be…
A business woman and an actor. But most importantly, I want to be a successful individual with a vision to inspire and empower young minds, especially girls, to follow their dreams and stand for themselves.
