A ripped sleeve minutes before a red carpet? A missing bow tie on the wedding day? A power suit that refuses to fit before a boardroom battle? When fashion disasters strike among celebrities, one name comes to the rescue—Amanpreet Singh Virk. The man behind the brand—NobleStitch Atelier—isn’t just a stylist; he’s the ultimate fashion trouble-shooter, ensuring every gentleman steps out looking impeccable, no matter the crisis.
For someone who once considered himself an ordinary guy, Amanpreet’s entry into the fashion world was completely unexpected. “My neighbour bought a DSLR camera and we started taking pictures for fun. I posted them on Instagram and soon, shout-out pages picked them up. Followers started growing and brands began reaching out,” he recalls. What started as a casual experiment, quickly transformed into a full-fledged modelling career. Over the years, he walked for renowned designers, including JJ Valaya and landed major campaigns with global brands. As a Sikh model breaking barriers, he became a sought-after face in the industry. “Being a Sikh actually worked to my advantage. The industry was looking for something unique and I was the perfect fit,” he shares.
Call of passion
After 12 years of modelling, Amanpreet knew it was time for a change. “Modelling has a short shelf life. I wanted to build something long-term,” he explains. The idea for NobleStitch was born when he decided to convert a basement space in his house into a small styling studio. “I converted the basement of my home into a workspace and worked with just one tailor. The goal was clear—to craft outstanding outfits that define individuality and leave a lasting impact,” he recalls. His first client? A close friend. “I started by making clothes for people around me, and, slowly, the word spread. It wasn’t just a business—it was my passion.”
His time in modelling had given him a keen eye for design, fabrics and fittings, which he now applies to his brand. “Having worked with top designers, I understood what works and what doesn’t. I wanted to create something classic yet modern,” he says. Every fabric at NobleStitch is handpicked and each design is tailored with precision. “I don’t just make designs; I create an experience that resonates with the personality.”
Over the years, NobleStitch has styled some of the biggest names in the Punjabi entertainment industry. Tarsem Jassar, Amar Sehmbi, Gurnam Bhullar, Ravneet Singh and Nirvair Pannu are just a few among his loyal clientele. “Celebrities come to us with their references and ideas, and we love bringing those to life,” he says.
Expression of confidence
For Amanpreet, style is more than just clothing—it’s an expression of confidence. “Taur kadhni jaruri aa (carrying oneself with pride is essential),” he says with a smile, encapsulating his design philosophy. More than just a designer, he sees himself as a cultural ambassador, blending Sikh heritage with contemporary fashion. “I weave culture and innovation into every design. I want people to recognise the depth of Sikh culture in every design and dismantle the stereotype that turbaned men don’t belong in high fashion.”
Despite his success, Amanpreet remains grounded. “I don’t think I’ve ‘made it’ yet. There is still a long way to go,” he admits. For aspiring stylists, his advice is clear, “Hard work, patience and consistency. Don’t be afraid to start small. The key is to trust your journey—keep learning and never compromise on quality.”
