Sneha Wagh, who played the title role in Jyoti, had quite an experience. There was one sequence in which Jyoti has a complete breakdown and expresses her feelings.
Sneha says that she generally gets her scripts on the same day but for this sequence she received the script a day in advance and she was shocked to see that it had a 17-page monologue. Sneha says, “I went home and marked the lines I wanted to emphasise on. I had to memorise it. I thought I was prepared enough, when the next day the director announced that it would be a one-take shot. I was surprised but he allowed me the time to prepare. I was nervous but once the camera started rolling, I only stopped once I was done.”
