I will miss playing Garba, but I am glad that the events have been cancelled because our health is more important in this pandemic. Other than that, I guess I will miss the special Bengali Khichdi Bhog Prasad.

Rishina Kandhari

That’s the best part of Navratri and no matter what you do, you can’t make it taste like that on normal days.

I will miss two things this year; first is of course Garba, second is pandal-hopping. But keeping in mind the current pandemic, I am going to stay at home and do all my puja here. Health and safety come first, and I am sure Durga Maa will understand!

Long wait Urvashi Upadhyay Sharle

Being a Gujarati and a classical dancer, I wait for this festival the whole year. Last year, I did not celebrate Navratri because I lost my mom. So, I was looking forward to this year but then this pandemic took over.

Dhruvee Haldankar

Holy days Dhruvee Haldankar

Navratri for me is about holy days of prayers and fasting. I have already done my Navratri shopping and am fasting at the moment. I shall strongly pray for the well-being of mankind and the end of evil.

Khushbhoo Kamal

Avoid crowds Khushbhoo Kamal

This year I am celebrating Navratri at home; no outing, no pandal-hopping. I’m not a person who enjoys things in a crowded place, so Garba I won’t miss much, but yes I’ll miss the Ashtami and Navmi darshan this year.

Subuhii Joshii

No show Subuhii Joshii

Navratri is very special for me because I fast for nine days. Since I am a DJ also, I used to go for a lot of shows in different cities. But this time no shows are happening, so it’s kind of sad to sit at home. Instead of playing Garba, I enjoy making people play, but this year I am not doing anything!
