Eat good, feel good and be fit—is what Aditya Ranvijay of Baalveer Returns fame believes. Coming from an Army background, this Punjabi boy takes his fitness regimen quite seriously.
What does fitness mean to you?
Fitness is a feel-good factor for me. The more I focus on my fitness, better I feel. So, I have always made fitness my priority.
What is your mantra?
My mother has taught me, Jaisa ann, waisa mann, waisa tann. What you eat and how you feel have a significant impact on your health. My mantra is–Eat good, feel good and be fit.
How do you strike a balance between your mind and body?
I include heavy exercise and pranayam in my workout routine. For my role as Bhaymaar in Baalveer Returns, I need to look a certain way and remain fit. While sweating out the toxins from my body keeps me fit, pranayam helps me relax. Also, I like to include light reading.
How do you maintain a healthy lifestyle?
An artiste’s life can be very demanding. I used to wake up early to give one hour to my fitness routine, even on days when we had an early shift. On the sets of Baalveer Returns, whenever I had some time, I would do push-ups. It’s all about striking a balance and utilising the time you have in ways that add value to your life.
What is your snack option?
I prefer carrying dry fruits to the sets or while travelling. They are the healthiest option to curb hunger pangs.
One food item you can’t resist?
Chocolate is something I cannot resist.
Any message for your fans?
Treat your body as a temple and follow healthy eating habits. Everyone should include at least one activity that pumps your heart and makes you sweat. If you follow these habits even in moderation, your body and mind will thank you in the long run.
