War of words

Naseeruddin Shah recently spoke about the ongoing protests against CAA and NRC. The actor even criticised Anupam Kher and called him a clown! While stating his point, Naseeruddin said, “I am not on Twitter. These people, the Twitterati… I really wish they would make up their minds in what they believe in. Someone like Anupam Kher has been very vocal. I don’t think he needs to be taken seriously, he is a clown; any number of his contemporaries from NSD, NFTII, can test to his psychopathic nature, it is in his blood, he can’t help it. The others who are opposing it should really decide about what they want to say and don’t remind us of our responsibilities, we known our responsibilities.”

This did not go down well with Anupam Kher and he hit back with a video. Anupam released a video slamming the veteran actor and saying that though having had a successful career, he has lived a frustrated life. He went on to talk about Naseeruddin Shah criticising Amitabh Bachchan, Dilip Kumar, Virat Kohli, to name a few, and he felt fortunate to have joined their ranks! Sharing the video on Twitter, Anupam Kher wrote a message in Hindi that translates to, “Sir, Naseeruddin Shah, accept my warm greetings. You are elder to me. Both in age and experience. I have always been respectful of your work and will continue to do so. But sometimes, it is necessary to give a blunt reply. Here is my reply…”

Both Anupam and Nasreeuddin have been a part of several hit movies, including A Wednesday. However, things look different between them now!
