Lokesh Gupta is Haryana Judges Association chief

Additional District and Sessions Judge Lokesh Gupta has been appointed president of the Haryana Judges Association (HJA) following the retirement of incumbent Palwal Additional District and Sessions Judge Rajesh Garg on Wednesday.
A decision to this effect was taken at a meeting of the HJA held yesterday. Judges from various districts of the state participated in the meeting and discussed their issues and the way forward.
Speaking on the occasion, Rajesh Garg said it had been an honour to serve the HJA and he was confident Lokesh Gupta would work with dedication. “The HJA plays a crucial role in ensuring the welfare and professional development of judges,” he added.
Expressing gratitude to the HJA members, Lokesh Gupta assured them of leaving no stone unturned to fulfil the responsibility with honesty and devotion. “Together, we will strive to enhance the judiciary’s role in society and work towards the betterment of our legal fraternity,” he added.
Gurugram Additional District and Sessions Judge Saurabh Gupta was appointed the HJA secretary and Judicial Magistrate Vikas its executive member. — TNS
