1 booked on charge of raping minor

A case of rape of a minor girl has come to light at a village in the district. The accused took the girl with him on the pretext of marrying him. After having physical relations with her, he left her and fled. The police after registering a case against the accused, identified him as Jashandeep Singh of Dakha, had launched further probe.

The victim’s mother told the police in her complaint that her daughter had gone missing from home on April 26. She was going to the police station to lodge a missing complaint, when on the way she saw her daughter with a youth near the bus stand. On seeing her, the youth left her daughter and fled the spot. As she took her daughter home, the latter revealed about her sexual exploitation.

The victim’s mother said that the accused had taken her daughter along and promised to marry her. He developed physical relations with her daughter against her wishes and after physically exploiting her, the accused left her at the bus stand and fled.
