2 arrested with heroin in Jagraon

The CIA Jagraon wing of the Ludhiana rural police arrested two persons and seized 42 gm of heroin, two mobile phones and a Honda Activa scooter from their possession. The suspects were on the way to deliver heroin to their clients. The suspects were identified as Judge Singh of Kamal Chowk, Jagraon, and Shani Singh, alias Saleda, a resident of Gandhi Nagar.

Investigating officer ASI Sukhdev Singh and his colleagues were present at the Aligarh T-point in Jagraon for checking on Saturday. He got a tip-off that Judge and Shani were on the way to supply heroin to their customers. The ASI said as per information, the smugglers were coming to Aligarh village, via Kothe Khanjuran. Accordingly, the police team laid a naka and the suspects were stopped for checking. During checking, heroin was recovered from their possession.
