2 booked for sexual assault

A five-year-old child and a 12-year-old girl was sexually exploited in the city. Two separate cases were yesterday registered by the city police.

The first case was registered by the Tibba police station against Sahil Kumar, a resident of Chadarlok colony. The complainant, victim’s mother, told the police that her daughter and Sahil were friends. On December 5, the accused took her daughter to a under-construction shop and raped her. The accused had also told her daughter to not reveal about sexual exploitation to anyone and threatened her of dire consequences.

An investigation has been launched in the case.

The second case was registered against Kapeshwar Giri. Complainant, victim’s mother, alleged that on December 6, the accused was trying to molest her daughter in his room. The police said raids were being conducted to nab the accused.
