The Raikot police have arrested two drug peddlers and seized 25 gm of heroin and drug money totalling Rs 1.07 lakh. The accused have been identified as Labh Singh of Johlan village and Ram Singh of Nihaluwal village. Investigations revealed that cops led by investigation officer Lakhvir Singh, Jaladiwal Chowki in charge, had received information about the activities of the accused who were delivering the contraband in their car. The accused tried to slip away, but were caught.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
