As the deadline of making awareness regarding the Motor Vehicle (Amendment) Act, which was supposed to be implemented from August 1, ended on August 20, the Ludhiana traffic police today carried out a drive and acted strictly against underage drivers.

As many as 21 underage drivers were challaned today by the traffic police. Special nakas were set up by traffic police at various strategic points in the city. Traffic police officials said they drive would continue in the coming days and underage drivers would not be spared.
