48 bottles of illicit liquor seized, 1 held
The Police Division Number 4 has registered a case against Vijay Kumar, a resident of Chowni Mohalla, on the basis of a complaint filed by Vikram Bhatia, inspector, Excise Department.
On September 2, the latter was standing near a garbage dump, rear side of the cremation ground, in the area when a person came on a Honda Activa, which was not bearing any registration number plate. A plastic bag was hanging on the vehicle.
Raising suspicion, the man was stopped and after checking, 12 bottles of Empire Number 1 Mota Santra and 36 bottles of countrymade liquor were seized from his custody. The suspect was arrested.
