870 disputes settled during Lok Adalat in Malerkotla

A total of 1,057 cases were listed for the day.
The Lok Adalat was organised under the supervision of Chairperson, Punjab Legal Services Authority, Sangrur.
During the redressal sessions, awards worth over Rs 9.5 lakh were passed by four benches of Additional District and Session Judge Parminder Singh, Additional Civil Judge (Senior Division )-cum-JMIC Tejinder Preet Kaur, Civil Judge (Junior Division )-cum-JMIC Vishav Gupta and Civil Judge (Junior Division)-cum-JMIC Kajal.
Organisers said the cases included criminal compoundable offences, bank recovery, labour disputes, compoundable power and water bill cases, matrimonial issues, land acquisition, service matters (wages allowances and retirement benefits ), revenue cases pending in courts and cyber crime.
