Nine National Cadet Corps (NCC) girl cadets of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh under went special training at Officers Training Academy (OTA) in Chennai.
The initiative involved providing exposure to budding aspirants of the NCC to undergo the process and experience to get selected as officer cadet women (OCW) and become Indian Army officers.

The army attachment camp was organised at OTA, Chennai, under the directions of the Director General, NCC. Three Punjab Girls Battalion of the NCC prepared and coordinated the move of cadets. The cadets were selected and prepared for the camp. Besides instilling confidence, the training was a learning experience.
