AAP’s Delhi model has proved to be a failure: Warring

Reposing faith in the ‘Judega block Jittegi Congress’ campaign initiated by the party, Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) president Amrinder Singh Raja Warring on Saturday held meetings with party workers in Samrala, Machhiwara, Sahnewal and Ludhiana blocks.

Warring expressed confidence that the Congress will be able to form a government in Punjab in 2027 elections.

The PPCC chief, who is a Member of Parliament from Ludhiana, was accompanied by senior Punjab Congress leaders, Gurdaspur MP Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa and Fatehgarh Sahib MP Dr Amar Singh, who reiterated the party’s commitment to strengthening its presence at the grassroots level across the state.

Calling out failures of AAP, Warring said, “The Aam Aadmi Party talked about the ‘Delhi Model’, but even Delhi has rejected it. They have nothing substantial to offer anymore. What happened in Delhi is now happening in Punjab. The public does not believe in the sugar-coated words of CM Bhagwant Mann anymore. You cannot take the public for a ride every time. The public knows and can judge better. The people of Punjab deserve better and the Congress is here to ensure that,” he added.

Ridiculing the policy of AAP in the fight against drugs, he said, “This is nothing but a ploy to deceive Punjab and its people.”

The MP also underlined the need for concrete action to address the drug menace in Punjab. “If you want to reduce drug addiction in the state, give jobs to our people. Employment opportunities and a strong economy are the real solutions, not hollow claims and deceitful actions.”

Warring asserted that the Congress shall win by a big margin in 2027 elections as both the Akali Dal and AAP have done practically nothing to win the favour of the general public. “SAD has been a mute spectator to the sacrilege incidents and its anti-farmer, anti-labour, anti-teacher and anti-employee policies are sure to land the party in trouble. AAP, on the other hand, has long lost the faith of the common man. The public has only one single choice and that is the Congress party,” he added.

Warring stated that the ‘Judega block, Jittegi Congress’ initiative is a testament to the party’s dedication to connect with every block in Punjab, ensuring that the Congress creates a strong foundation for the future. “Grassroots programmes enable us to engage directly with the people, understand their challenges and work collectively towards finding solutions,” he added.
