Jashan Alamgiria and Ekam Amirpur were felicitated on being selected as the best raider and stopper, respectively, during a kabaddi tournament held by Shaheed Udham Singh Sports Club, Chhanna, near here.

The Sarhali Mand Kabaddi Team and Dhanaur Kabaddi Club were declared the winner and runners-up, respectively, in open kabaddi during the tournament, which was dedicated to spreading awareness on the eradication of drug abuse from the region. Convener of the event, Sarpanch Sukhwinder Singh Samra, said cash prizes worth Rs 1.1 lakh and 90 thousand were presented to the winner and runners-up teams, respectively, in the major events, whereas other achievers were felicitated with LEDs.
