Anu of Ferozepur emerges winner in plus 39 category
Anu Sharma from Ferozepur emerged the winner in the plus 39 years category in the women’s section in the inaugural edition of the Punjab Veterans Table Tennis Tournament being held at Shastri Hall, near Guru Nanak Stadium, here on Sunday.
Promila of Ludhiana secured the second position while Reena and Shweta Jain, both from Ludhiana shared the third place.
In the men’s section (plus 39 years), Anupreet Bassi, Manmeet Singh and Munish Sharma scripted victories in their respective matches to secure berths in the semi-finals.
HS Chhatwal and Pankaj Sharma, president and general secretary, respectively, inaugurated the tournament.
