Party leaders and workers gathered at Sahnewal Chowk this evening to celebrate the victory of Sanjeev Arora from Ludhiana (West), led by Cabinet Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian.
The victory of AAP candidate Sanjeev Arora is being attributed to the party’s consistent efforts and the dedication of its members over the past three years. Expressing gratitude to the voters of Ludhiana, Mundian stated that he is thankful to the people who have upheld the strength of AAP. Speaking to this correspondent, Mundian asserted that the party’s achievements go beyond paperwork. “We have finally established a drug-free, healthy and prosperous Punjab,” he claimed.
He thanked the electorate for voting according to their conscience and not under any external pressure. “The public realised that there was no point in giving yet another chance to the traditional parties, especially when the system had reached a point of no return. The voters have been wise enough to support the party which has ushered in an era of change, a change definitely for the better,” Mundian said.
Promising complete transformation in the coming months, he added, “We have and will continue to prove that AAP is different from other parties in that, rather than enforcing a dictatorial regime, we have created space for dialogue and debate on every crucial issue that directly or indirectly affects the lives of the common man. In every way, we have made the lopsided system start functioning for the better. We have waged a war against corruption, hunger, disease, oppression, cruelty and misappropriation. The long-neglected sectors of healthcare and education shall be revived soon,” he said.
Mundian further thanked the voters who had placed their complete faith in the party and enabled it to emerge as the single strongest political force in Punjab. “I have no words to express my gratitude towards the voters. I am thankful to my people who have voted for progress and development. We shall try to discharge our responsibilities to the best of our capacity with the due support of the people,” he said.
“We have restored the faith of the disgruntled youth who earlier found no hope in Punjab. Ours is the party that will restore the lost glory of Punjab and alleviate the suffering of the common man by eliminating all the negative forces working within the political system of the country,” said Mundian.
