Arrest warrant issued against Sonu Sood

Judicial Magistrate Ramanpreet Kaur has issued an arrest warrant against Bollywood actor Sonu Sood. The warrant was issued after Sood repeatedly failed to appear in a court despite being summoned multiple times as a witness in a criminal case.

In the case, Ludhiana-based lawyer Rajesh Khanna has filed a criminal complaint against Mohit Shukla for duping him of Rs 10 lakh by alluring to invest in a fake money laundering scheme and other serious charges. As part of the complaint, Khanna summoned Sood to testify as a witness. However, despite multiple court summons, the actor did not appear to record his testimony.

Now, the court has issued an arrest warrant against Sood due to his non-appearance. The warrant has been sent to the Oshiwara police station, Andheri West, Mumbai, directing it to nab the actor and present him before the court. The next hearing is scheduled for February 10.
