Athletes vied for top honours in the Open District Cross-Country Championship, organised by the District Athletics Association (DAA), Ludhiana, at Millennium World School, Ranjit Avenue on Malerkotla Road, here today.
Savneet Kaur Chawla, Director of the host school, declared the championship open in which participants competed in different age groups. Prem Singh, honorary general secretary, Punjab Athletics Association was the guest of honour on this occasion.

Boys U-16 (2km): Preet Kumar (Samrala) 1st, Sukhvir Singh (Samrala) 2nd and Vaibhav Bhalla (Police DAV School, Ludhiana) 3rd.
Girls U-16 (2km): kiran (Sahnewal) 1st, Pinky (Sahnewal) 2nd and Lakshpreet Kaur (Millennium World School) 3rd.
Boys U-18 (6km): Sudhakar (International Public School, Ludhiana) 1st, Sunny Kumar (Ludhiana) 2nd and Ayush Negi (Ludhiana) 3rd.
Girls U-18 (4km): Varinder Pal Kaur (Millennium World School) 1st, Avleen Kaur (Millennium World School) 2nd and Gurleen Kaur (Ludhiana) 3rd.College.
