Bal Sansad initiative engages 5K students

Members of the Wings of Wisdom Foundation (WoWF) expressed gratitude to the district administration for its support and guidance in the successful rolling out of the Bal Sansad initiative, a first-of-its-kind in Punjab.

The Bal Sansad (Children’s Parliament) programme, launched between August 1-15, across 50 government schools in the district, is an effort by the WoWF to empower students by fostering leadership skills, civic awareness and active participation in democratic processes. The programme engaged 5,000 students, resulting in 350 nominations and the training of 119 teachers, with 50 ceremonies marking the establishment of the Bal Sansads. — TNS
