The bhog ceremony of Bibi Sarbjeet Kaur, mother of Ludhiana Mayor Dr Inderjeet Kaur, was held at Gurudwara Damdama Sahib today.
Cutting across party lines, prominent leaders and personalities of the area attended her bhog ceremony.
Speakers offered tributes to the departed soul and lauded the thoroughness with which Bibi Sarabjeet Kaur lived her life. They said the departed soul had been an apostle of light not only for the family but for society. MP Sanjeev Arora announced a grant of Rs 5 lakh for the cremation ground at Doraha. Kaur passed away last week.
