BJP leaders, led by spokesperson Anil Sarin and district president Rajnish Dhiman, held a press conference to slam the attitude adopted by Congress to save their national leaders like Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi, who were allegedly involved in the National Herald case.

Sarin said after the Central Government had asked the ED to prepare a chargesheet and the ED had reportedly named senior party leaders, including the Gandhis as the key accused, Congress workers had taken to the road to save their leaders.

“Today, they are protesting to save their corrupt leaders. C for Congress and C for corruption is a known fact. As and when Congress came into power, scams were the outcome,” said Sarin.

The BJP leaders said that on a daily basis, baseless statements were issued by the Congress. “They are making a mockery out of everything. First they are involved in scams and then they sit on dharnas to feign innocence,” said Sarin.
