Body found in Buddha Nullah

Ludhiana, August 18

A body of a man was found floating in the Buddha Nullah on the Tajpur road on Sunday morning. The condition of the body was so bad that even the face of the deceased could not be recognised. It seemed that the victim had been lying dead in the drain for the past several days.

After seeing the body, passers-by raised the alarm and informed the police. After getting information, the police reached the spot and took out the body from the drain with the help of divers.

The police said it seems that the man had died around five days ago.

Tajpur police post in-charge SI Janak Raj said the body of the man, which had been kept at the Civil Hospital mortuary, could not be identified. A probe was launched to identify the cause of his death. Local residents would also be questioned and CCTV cameras of the area would also be checked to get any clue. — TNS
